Most of us think of the brain in terms of our abiltiy to think/ reason... It may surprise many to learn that only 3-8% of the brain is actually used for thinking. So why did mother nature give us so much 'extra' brain if we only use less than 10 % for thinking???
Well, the brain is our most important organ system. That's right. It isn't your heart, or your liver. The human brain controls every action/reaction ocurring within our bodies. There are countless bodily processes ocurring within us as we read this sentence. Almost all of these processes are acurring with no help from you or me. The brain connects to every bodily tissue and keeps it functioning at its optimum potential. The clearer the connection between the individual cells and the brain, the healthier you can expect those same cells to be. So, with this in mind we can see how important it is to protect not only the proper function of the brain, but also the signals it transmits to the bodily tissues. Recent studies support the consumption of fish, or omega 3's as being of vital importance in not only children but adults as well. If you or your children are not taking your omega-3's you are doing yourself a temendous disservice.
